Mars Ultor
Frosty
Surveyor
In a game I am running I need to map out the ruins of Mars Ultor in Room from around 1923. Now I am not super picky and was looking to see if someone had a good base or perhaps something I could reuse without much to do.
I may keep it simple and have a sort of Open floor plan for the Ruins and just have a trap door that leads down into an area not discovered before. I did see Royal scribe had a Greco Roman Temple and I did get the 3D rendering from the Temples map supplement.
Any suggestions before I try to map this on my own.. I need something by Sunday which is why I was looking for something at least semi made instead of creating from scratch.

Have you looked up the Theban Mapping Project ? Tombs of the Egyptian Pharaohs. Some available as pdfs.

Please feel free to use my Greco-Roman temple if you wish. There is a gallery of images of it on my profile, and I am posting the FCW here if you want to customize it.
If you do use the FCW, note that it makes extensive use of Marine Dungeons, so it will be pretty useless without that annual. The grass and trees come from the Forest Trails annual, but are easy enough to replace if you don't have that. The BBQ pits have assets from either Dundjinni Archives and/or Bogies Redthorn Tavern. There may be other random things in there, too; I was importing bitmap fills from all over the place while I was testing things out. There are four custom symbols that are the reflections from the lighted mosaics. Probably easiest to delete them but I can send you the original assets if you want.
If you can't use the FCW and there's a particular zoom level you want, with or without grid lines, temple roof, etc., let me know and I'll be happy to post a JPG of that to my gallery.
I also did a temple in the Community Atlas, if interested. With and without roof.

I love the blue marble (is it marble?), and the stone style (granite?) for the sacrificial alter. What set are they from?
Awesome all of you. I recall seeing that temple of Poseidon at one point when i was browsing around months ago. This gives me something good to work with and also lots of ideas. Much appreciated.
I did use the temple of Poseidon map for something else to add a little bit of extra atmosphere as they traveled onward to Rome.
@Royal Scribe I downloaded your map and placed it in the folder where I have created other maps but getting a few red X's. I imagine the 4 inside are pillars or statues and the 3 outside not sure. But this looks like something I would change the surrounding area and very well use.
The red X's on the outside "offerings" pits (basically, barbecue pits) are different meat cooking on skewers symbols from the Bogies Redthorn Tavern assets. You can get them here, though it's a bit involved to install them. You could also safely delete those symbols and have the burn pits with nothing cooking on them.
The symbols inside the temple are custom-made symbols. The walls are supposed to have mosaics made with luminescent crystals, and the X'd assets are reflections on the floor from those mosaics. You could delete them, particularly since the reflections won't really match up with your lore, or you can download them here:
To keep the file path consistent, place them in this path, creating folders as needed:
CC3Plus - Symbols - Users - Kevin - Dungeon - Statues, Temples and Idols
Here's how it's supposed to look:
I'm sure everything will look good if you delete the missing symbols without trying to replace them with anything else.
Also, if you haven't noticed, you can show or hide the roof of the temple by unhiding or hiding the PEDIMENT layer on the layers interface. The PEDIMENT (SHADOWS UNDER) layer will hide or show a shadow that indicates where the roof would be (allowing your players to be inside the temple while understanding which portions are under a roof and which are exposed to the sky).
I will check out the two links to assets above..and no i had not noticed the hidden layer.
step 1 done..note I can now see the BBQ items in the firepits.
I did attempt to duplicate the file path for the reflections and copied them there. However the 4 X's remain. I may just delete them but X's have caused me pain in the past and I would love to understand what I did incorrectly to make your custom Graphics show up.
Oh..I love this symbol on the floor of the temple.. what is it? Where does it come from?
I am Still working on it..but I am going for sunken in the ground and have an old stone stairwell connecting it. I may leave it at this and add dynamic lighting walls etc in VTT or perhaps add cavern floor and do some natural passageways leading off.. will probably add some random boulders and ruined items in the area.
That one is from Marine Dungeons.
Yes, Marine Dungeons was the foundation of this temple, though I ended up importing other fills from all over the place. I picked that style because I loved the Marine Dungeons’ columns. The walls surrounding the fountain and the barbecue pits are also from Marine Dungeons, as is the blue tiles in the fountain and many of the fills. I also imported fills from Creepy Crypts and Forest Trail, among others.
The redone map has gone over rather well. The Columns using dynamic lighting look fantastic and give the place a lit but of an eerie feel to it which was perfect. Photos here I used for atmosphere and to describe the ruins on the service at Mars Ultor. I used the modified map for below ground ruins..in what I claimed was an older version of the temple that sunk in early 300 AD.
Here is a small outside area of the map with dynamic lighting in affect. I think it gives a decent impression of what the players could see. Keep in mind what looks like a shadow here was an area they could not see at all.. so something could always be lurking behind a pillar.
