Need Style Suggestion for Azeroth (World of Warcarft) Map
I am thinking of making a map of the World of Warcraft world. In game is supposed to be very colorful, but the maps in game are a parchment style. The official maps tend to be of parchment style as well.
The styles I am leaning towards trying are Darklands, Erdan Worlds, Midgard, Jon Roberts, or World of Wonder. Any thoughts as to what style would work best for map art? I will be printing it on canvas.
Here are some of the official maps I've found. I want to say I have seen images from a film that did that looked like World of Wonder.

Edit: Corrected things per Jeff's suggestions so hopefully they are larger

Not sure why, but those links don't work for me.
I just tried it from Firefox and Edge (which is based on Chrome). Open with a single click. I did go through and edit the links now to remove extraneous info on the end to see if that helps.
Still not working for me.
I get the same result that Loopysue does.
try removing everything in the link after .jpg they work then. ie /revision/latest
Yup, removing the extra bits, and I see the maps.
Weird that it works for me no matter what the browser, but not for others. When I edited the links, evidently it was just removing the text, but preserving the link that had the extra info. Hopefully, I have it edited correctly now.
They show fine for me now, but smaller...
Thanks :)
Ok, well, that's not an easy one. I would pick a style and use it as the style it is to avoid spending weeks trying to modify it well enough to become a facsimile to one of those maps. Using one of our styles out of the box may also make it clear that you aren't copying the original artworks in anything other than actual layout.
With that in mind I guess whatever styles you feel will give you the right mood. Remember that you can do a lot to change the colours of existing map styles by playing with sheet and whole map effects.
@Loopysue I am not trying to duplicate one of their styles per se. Just trying to get some idea on what style I should use that sort of fits with World of Warcraft map styles. Just not sure which one(s) in CC3 I should try to make a map with.
I think one of the darker parchment styles... like the one Ralf used to make the Tolkein map would work.
To fix the size on the above links.
First link add / to the end it it will show the larger image
second link remove the / at the end and you will see the larger version
Third link should work fine as is.
the / must link to the other file and the thumbnail size images are reversed on the two links.
Think the suggestion would work for maps 1 & 3 but think about the parchment from darklands overlands style for the second. I would create a different overlay from the bloody one that comes with the style to more closely mimic the style of map 2.
