SS5 Bring to front

Bring to front doesn't seem to be working for some of the SS5 symbols. The example here is the city gate and walls. Yes, both are on the same sheet and layer.

Does it make any difference if you paste the walls first, or do they jump to the front even then?

It is being affected by an old workaround in the effects processing which delays the drawing of certain symbols to get the right look. If you turn off effects, you'll see that the order works as it should.

The workaround for this issue is to simply disable delayed drawn symbols with the DELAYDRAWSYM command.
