How to turn a CC3 map into a JPEG or Bit File for others to use
Is it possible to turn a CC3 map into a JPEG or Bit file in order to email it to others so they can view it with a high degree of resolution? If so, how do I do this?
Comments
From the File menu pick Save as... and in the drop down box pick your preferred type of bitmap, adjust the options using the options button (the default settings are very low res compared to what CC3 is capable of rendering), and then click ok.
If you chose one of the Save as rectangular... options, then you will need to click on two corners then to define the rectangle to be exported.
Hope that helps
If you set the ppi to 300, and then set the size in cm/inches below that figure in the dialog, the number of pixels width and height above it will be automatically calculated for you.
Its up to you how large you want to make this map, but as a general guide your average 1000 x 800 map unit map looks pretty good at a size that equates to about 3-4000 pixels in the longest dimension.
Does that help?
Then click the options button lower right of the popup.
In there you can set pixels wide and high. etc.
It was very late. I'm afraid I fell asleep not long after I made that last comment. Sorry!
Here is a screen shot that hopefully explains what to do

You might have to fiddle around with the size settings a bit till you get the whole map printed.
Alternatively you can ignore the size in inches/cm, and work with the number of pixels settings for width and height at the top above the ppi box at stage 4. (ppi is pixels per inch)
