Hi All

Just rustled up a couple of transparent PNG fills for you (to follow). This kind of pattern fill is really easy to make so if you want one just ask.

Agh! don't talk about dots before the eyes! LOL!

You may find that you can't use any edge fade on these, so they might not be as useful as you would want them to be.

@ TSRThomas - Is this what you were talking about?

EDIT: just to clarify - because these are transparent fills the edge fade inner sheet effect will work on all the dots individually, rather than just the edge of the polygon.

I'm not sure what we are talking about...

However, I'll keep in mind not to use them with an edge fade inner effect.:)

Its been a long day! LOL!

I did these primarily for TSRThomas, who was asking about how to do transparent textures on top of coloured fills in another thread, but then I decided that they might be of use to anyone really - providing all are aware of the edge fade inner snag

I appreciate the effort, Loopysue. I managed to put together some hand-drawn fill patterns using Gimp. I am very old-school (used to work as a draftsman in another life) and like the look of very randomized "fill material" (if any of you know what that looks like on engineering plans). But getting the community's help in solving the transparency issue made the day fun. :-)

And if you need something peaceful to look at afterwards here is some grass Genetica gave me. Its one of their library files - free to all for any use... (with the possible exception of reselling as an entity in its own right... which would be pretty pointless anyway because you can get this and many others free from their website).

Ah, I did see small black dots between the other dots you drew in that last one. Not on the lawn though. That would have been some acne.

No - it wasn't one of those optical wotsits where you're supposed to see pink ghost spots on the grass :P
