After looking at some of the entries so far I am almost speechless. Looking at the maps with the effects off, and then turning them out is amazing. Sooooooo much to learn.
I want to thank all of you for making this a great 35th anniversary for my gaming group. While it's true that we offered the prize money, the fact is, it was the time that you took to make the maps which made this a success. We give you our sincere and deep appreciation.
I especially want to thank ProFantasy for letting us run this competition on their forums and for offering the extra bonus to the prizes. I honestly don't know of any other company that would do that. It is their kind generosity that has always made me a ProFantasy fangirl.
Judging the maps has been one of the most difficult things I (we) have ever had to do. How do you choose when every map is amazing? I personally am thankful that I was not the only judge, because it felt like I had to choose one friend's gift over another. But after quite a few hours of discussion, and several rounds of voting, we did choose...
...and the winners are:
1st Place: Breaking Through, by Monsen 2nd Place: Henge Portal, by LoopySue 3rd Place: The Journey Begins, by Bill
Again thanks to everyone who took part and who offered their good wishes. Happy Mapping to all!
(I have whispered the voucher code to each winner.)
CONGRATULATIONS Remy, Bill, and everyone who took part - there were a lot of excellent maps in the contest. I never expected to be in the top three with all the exceptional entries there were!
Congrats to the winners, those are some great maps, indeed.
But also congratulations to everyone who entered. All the maps were really good and I suspect Shessar and her group were pretty hard-pressed to choose the winners. I know I'd be.
Speaking of vouchers....if I remember correctly, profantasy was going to give $10 vouchers to everyone that participated, is that correct? I only ask, because it looks like I'm going to need to purchase two symbol sets for the commission I just took... and I could use the discount! Lol
Congratulation to the winners and to all the others ! Now Shessar will have to design a scenario where her group of players will have an encounter in all the maps of the challenge!
Wonderful, thanks and congratulations to all participants, as well as Shessar and her gaming group for doing this! I'll need to do a blog post showing off all the entries, it might just be a few days, since I'm busy preparing for Spiel next week.
@Shessar: Can you give me a list of all the participants? As promised, we would like to give a little voucher to everyone for taking part.
It keeps it at the top above all other topics. Usually used for rule posts, important information, and announcements, things that needs to stay on top of the list even if nobody is posting in them. You can see there are a couple of stickied topics at the top of the forum marked with [Sticky].
Sinking a topic will prevent it from bobbing back up to the top of the list if a new comment is added. People use it to tidy up the forum - sinking threads that are for the want of a better word, finished. Usually these are questions that have been answered, or threads that are no longer relevant.
I've moved and don't have access to the internet as often as I had before so I didn't get to see this until now. Anyway, I just wanted to congratulate the winners and thank everyone that participated in this. I personally love every entry. They're all pretty great looking
Great job everyone!
Thanks again Shessar for putting this on. It was really nice to see all the entries.
