Add-ons not detecting CC3+

I've recently purchased a new, working, computer and had to re-download CC3+. I then purchased a few other add-ons and, just now, the Tome of Ultimate Mapping.

However, my annuals and the Tome installers cannot find CC3 and thus will not install.

I did follow the support item, and checked the registry. The only thing that I can see may be a problem is that SerialNr has no key, but instead it has ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~. I am not sure if this is meant to be hidden, or if I need to type in the key listed in the support section for installation issues.

Anyone?

Did you install everything as the administrator? (Right click install icon and choose Run as Administrator)? Win 10 in particular seems to be partial to making its own mind up about things unless you deliberately override it's built in security rules by telling it who's the boss.

I'm sorry to say that the Tome of Ultimate Mapping and most of the annuals are not yet compatible with CC3+. Currently they just work with CC3. Only the 2015 & 2016 (current) annuals work with CC3+ right now. There are two separate versions of Annual Volume 9 (2015), one for CC3 and one for CC3+. Volume 10 (2016) only works with CC3+.

ProFantasy is hard at work making other products compatible with CC3+ and they're working as fast as they can, but they're a small company so it's taking a little bit. In the meantime, however, you can install CC3 on the same computer as CC3+. They both coexist peacefully. Just be sure to open existing maps from within the correct program. Windows only associates one of them with the FCW file extension, so double-clicking a file from Windows Explorer might open it in the wrong one.

I just did the same thing. What does using the setup program get us over just downloading the PDF?

Well, I think it installs it in the CC3 folder under Documentation and integrates it into CC3.

But it doesn't work withCC3+, so just download the pdf.

Cosmographer 3 is not yet compatible, but it is in the works. No ETA yet.
