Traveller: a solar system, a planet, a downport, oh my !

The downport is very preliminary. Mostly making a map and moving things around on it. The planet is from FT3. And the solar system is made using the HighSpace Annual.

I love the planet, and the nebula. Is that part of the HighSpace Annual, or did you draw that yourself?

I added the planet symbols, but the sun at the bottom and the nebula are part of the background that comes with the template. The planet is a Cosmographer output from Fractal Terrains 3.

Ah... That must be one of the things I haven't tried with FT3 just yet. It looks really cool :)

Its easy to use FT3 to output Cosmo planets. I shrank that one down rather greatly. I've been trying to keep track of the FT3 settings, in case I want to export each map as a set of images for rotating them.

What takes my time is deciding on which Sub-Sector/Sector map to put it on, on which Galaxy Arm. I decided to make two galaxy arms, one dominant empire per area. With several solr system/nebula groupings that allow Jump drive transport between galaxy arms.

A set of spreadsheets helps, but I do have accidental duplicate names. A bit over 900 planets uploaded to my site, hoping to get it to over a thousand by next week. My giant Starship Wanderer is on there as well, along with an altered Mars. Which I hope to use for not only a futuristic Mars, but one from 'SPACE: 1889 !' as well.
