Completely new to CC - differences between CC and CC+ ?

Hi everybody,

i just purchased the CC suite with CD and DD, and CA6, installing it all while posting.

what are the différences between CC and CC+ ?

i tryed to install CA6, it said it couldn't find CC ... does it means i will have to install both CC and CC+ ?
is there any way to make it work with CC+ ?

wich are the CAs working with CC+ at the moment ?

will installs of CC with CD and DD , be equivalent of installs of CC+ ?

Try rebooting and/or installing the most recent patch for CC3. If that doesn't solve it, I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I will chime in eventually with a better idea.

And no it is not necessary to install both CC3 and CC3+ in order to install other add-ons.

CA6 is not yet compatible with CC3+, so if you want that, you need to have CC3 installed.

You could either go for the CC3 only route, as CC3 supports everything, or you can install CC3 and CC3+ side by side (which is what a lot of people are currently doing) until all annuals and add-ons are updated to work with CC3+ I recommend the latter, just note that maps designed in CC3+ can't be opened in CC3, so you need to keep the versions straight if you do that.

As for differences, CC3+ is faster, more efficient, and comes with a new overland style not available in CC3+. You'll especially feel the difference if working with effects on. CC3+ also have some additional features.
