Dual installation?

I install all of my applications in d:\applications (c:\ is an SSD) and CC3 installs fine. But CC3+ seems to install both on the D drive and also in C:\applications\profantasy. Can I just delete the one on my C drive?

Also, when trying to install CD it doesn't appear to give me an option to change the install from C:\ to D:\. Or am I missing something?

    The program installs on C.

The rest installs wherever you decided the rest should go.

Erase either, and you're no longer a CC3+ user.

Yes, where CD3 installs is decided by your CC3+ installation. If your data folders are on drive X:\, for instance, so is CD3.

I've been able to install every other application (that I can recall) in an alternate location, specifically d:\ Why would the decision have been made to force the install to C:\?

edit: This question is probably best answered by one of the devs, but if I change all references to fcw32.exe's installation paths in the registry to my D:\ drive profantasy folder in my applications folder, will that work?

I believe the reason for not allowing the change of the programs location was to keep the installer simple. Keep in mind that the CC3+ installation itself is only about 30MB, so no matter how tiny a disk you have, it doesn't really make an impact at all. The main size of CC3+ lies in the data directory, which the installer does allow you to customize.

Changing the install location in the registry works just fine though. You don't really need to mess with the registry at all though, simply move the program over, and manually run fcw32.exe from the new location (You may need to use run as admin) and it corrects the registry items itself, bot the installation path, and the file associations.
