CD3 - Houses won't generate in City Wizard
Greetings.
I've started a new map of a city, and my problem is it seems the settings are wrong now for house generation.
A few nights ago, I ran the city wizard and got the initial road, walls, city streets, and buildings, with no problem.
Now I have tried to change it up so that I am using mideast symbols for houses, but there are two problems, when the vanilla non wizard streets tool is used (not in the wizard runs), I just get the kind of mottled bitmap no roof edges.
2nd problem is now, no matter what settings I try, (i've messed with about 3 dozen) I cannot get the city wizard to generate Houses on the streets.
Nor can I get the Polygons for houses as an alternative for the house command working in the wizard.
When I attempt either via last wizard step, I am looking at a road with city walls and streets, and trying to get polygons- the screen flashes, no polygon buildings, or trying the City Wizard's HOUSE command, screen flashes, no buildings.
Right, I know this is something I'm not doing right, but is there a sort of Default setting for city wizard to at least get the buildings to generate?
I'm well behind the curve for a current game campaign I'm trying to implement on Roll20, and as a last desperate attempt, I'm asking here for help. Normally I'd try and solve it myself, but maybe someone has run into this, but I am not seeming to get the connections between houses, shapes, and street settings etc, and how that relates to the wizard.
Seems like shapes is not tying into the house command or something or the shapes are wrong.
I'm guessing middle east buildings are not set up to work for the city wizard? There's no shape for them so it sits?
So okay, if that's true, what settings do work consistently in the wizard for shapes, then I'll generate the city, and then hand replace with Mideast no frills or hand drawn building by building.
That's how I am going now, but I am in the middle of a mid eastern flavor campaign that looks like it might fly for well over a year, so the ability to generate middle east style buildings using the city wizard would make it well worth money spent.
Failing all of that default settings for city wizard (so I can get it to work), and thanks to the community.
