Where do I find the Serial Number?
Hi!
Pretty basic question. Having bought a full set of CC2 products several years ago, I have finally got an occassion to actually use them. So, I started to instal the Core Product and the first thing it wants form me is a serial number.
Well I've looked everywhere, on the box, on the disc, in the manual and I just can't see a number anywhere.
So, any idea where it was printed, it's got me completely stumped?
p.s. Please don't say on the invoice, because the chances of that still being about are pretty slim. I've moved houses twice since I bought this software.

If so, you should be able to find the serial on the order summary for each individual product, you should be able to get the links to these from here:
https://secure.profantasy.com/service/tracking_pf.asp
If you have registered your products online, you should also be able to find your serial numbers on your registered user's page:
https://secure.profantasy.com/service/entrance.asp
If these resources doesn't help you, you'll need to contact ProFantasy support directly.
I've may have registered them at the time, but when I tried to post this query the site didn't remember me. So I had to re-register, even though my email address hasn't changed. The link you posted doesn't come up with any registered products.
Well that was a bit weird.
I checked the links you gave me and it said I didn't have any registered products, or any order history. So, I posted the comment above and logged off figuring that I'd probably just wasted a load of money buying all that software ten years ago, and then noticed that I had received two emails from Pro-Fantasy software.
When I opened them up I discovered that they were emails confirming my two orders from 2005. One for the £108's worth of software I bought, and another for the Tome of Ultimate Mapping. So it looks like the problem may be solved as they seem to show what I assume to be the serial numbers. Obviously, querying my orders must have triggered some sort of auto-response.
Do note that CC2 is getting pretty old now though, and is not supported on more recent operating systems (Some features may require workarounds, others may not work). If you are going to run them, you may want to consider running them inside of a virtual machine running Windows XP or similar, or upgrade to CC3 instead. (If you register your serials at the user registration page, the upgrades tab should quote you the upgrade price.
