Having some trouble with my map
I have been working with CC3+ for a few days and managed to create a pretty nice campaign map with cities, terrain, symbols, etc... So, I recently saved the map as a bitmap with the Sepia effect to serve as a player map, like in the Youtube videos online. My problem is: whenever I reopen the original map and use any glow feature, the entire map converts to the sepia effect and I lose all the beautiful color detail I worked so hard to create. In addition, I cannot seem to add any new text to the map. No matter which layer (or which sheet) I try to add the text into, it disappears upon redrawing the map. I'm sure many of you have dealt with similar frustrations.
My question is: is it possible to save the entire full-colored map as an individual layer (perhaps with "change properties" ---- select a new layer or sheet) so that I may continue working with it without losing any of the data I already have created (being able to add text that won't disappear and new glow features without changing to sepia effect)? I don't want to start over, since I've created a neat looking map with hours and hours of detail. I just want to add some more text to the map and begin to create some encounters linked to the map without it freaking out on me. Any suggestions on how to do this effectively and efficiently would be appreciated.
Thanks so much!

It is behind something else.
top of sheet list
sea
land
symbols
text
bottom of sheet list
That is the correct way.
Sounds like you have
text
land
which would put the text behind that land.
In the sheet dialog; select the text sheet.
Then click on 'Move down' until it is below everything in the list. Then you text will reappear.
One thing I noticed, your mountains and hills are placed so that the shadow from a mountain on the left falls across the top of a mountain to the right, or under and through. Look at the area around "Destiny" for an example. Also, mountains are sometimes on top of building symbols. ("Destiny," again) For placing mountains, a good rule the ProFantasy mavens teach is "Left to right and top to bottom," which will keep the symbols aligned right. You could also explore the "Bring to Front"/"Send to Back" commands to reorder these symbols.
I still have a problem with the sepia effect: whenever I activate effects on any sheet (text or symbols eg), the sepia effect takes over the entire map. I like my map now that I have cleaned up the layers/sheets, but it is impossible for me to use effects like glow without the whole map turning into sepia effect. Thank goodness I have multiple saves to rescue me. Nevertheless, I want to use glow on text, rivers, and borders to make the map pop. Any ideas how this could happen and be worked around will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again. This forum is very helpful!
