Installation Order For a New User Who Just Picked Up The 'Top Three' Bundle
After looking at CC for sometime (first taste was on an TSR rules disc that had a version, yes that many years ago), I finally broke down and picked up the 'Top Three' bundle: CC3 (with CC3+), CD3 and DD3. My primary question is: what is the best order to install these? With follow up questions like: Am I correct in assume that the CC3 line will install to a separate location from the CC3+ line? Will I need/want to install CC3 along with CC3+? What about the add-ons? They each have a 'forCC3+' files. Do I need to install the 'forCC3' version as well as the 'forCC3+' version? I searched the forum but didn't see this question answered anywhere.
Sorry for all the questions but I am a little green to this tool.
Thanks,
Randy

Update
The most current update installer is always run after you install an add-on for CC3 as it finalizes some things. Note, that the Updater may uninstall first when you rerun it, so just run it again and install it if it uninstalls
You want to right click and run the installers as an Admin if you are using Vista or higher.
The CC3 & CC3+ versions are different so you need to install both if you plan to have CC3 & CC3+ installed.
See also the FAQ as it has info on installing.

Joseph Sweeney also has some tutorial video that shows you how to install CC3. (I recommend you watch all the other videos he did too.)
Also make sure you download the free annual issues that are available too.
I have watched the Sweeney videos but wanted to make sure CC3+ didn't change things.
I found that I can switch between the two without any issues. So I work in CC3+ now until I run into something requiring a tool that hasn't been converted. Switch back to CC3, make those changes, then switch back to CC3+ to enjoy speed for as much as I can.
Is there a link to the free Annual Issues anywhere.
I am working my way through the Tome of Ultimate Mapping and only installing stuff when I get to it.
Also, with CC3Plus - Do you need to keep running the Update program after installing anything else like you do with CC3
I'm not sure about the random city command. Easiest way to find out would be start CC3+ with a CD3 city template, type CITY into the command prompt and see what happens.

Download link is on the annual preview page above
Make sure you download the 2 zips of tutorials as they are better resolution ones than the You Tube Ones. (Yeah, the tutorial videos are separate download too and aren't in the .exe. Also you can easily overlook the download link for the zip of them so i post the links bellows if you didn't see them.

The High Space Battlemaps, just has the 2 zips tutorials available for free download or viewing online as they videos aren't in the .exe for that annual for space reasons.
The High Space Battle Maps use many of the things that were part of the Dungeon Battle Tiles tutorials and free issue.
The link to the exe for the free version of that issue is at

Some other free issues are in the exe
(I'm not sure if the link to that one is working a couple of pages are giving me an error at the moment.)
Also, be aware of problems with fonts installing if you are using Vista or higher and an annual has new fonts. I mad a very detailed post about this and what to do to ensure any fonts install correctly. See this thread and read the long posts I made on font problems with CC3 and how to handle them.
