Missing Textures

I am trying to create new maps, for the first time in quite a while. However, when creating a map I find that a lot of the background textures appear to be missing; they just show up as red X symbols in black grid squares. I have used these before, and have tried repairing, as well as uninstalling and re-installing CC3, but to no effect. This happens with some of the water backgrounds, and a lot of the dungeon/inside floor backgrounds (most of the stone ones, and the wood ones).

Anyone know why that happens, and how I might fix it?

Are you using a default template, or have you created your own template? if using one of the default templates that came with CC3, which template are you using? If you try using another template, do you experience the same problems?

The reason templates are important is because fill styles are defined locally in each template, and not globally. If you bring up the fill style dialog, and go to the bitmap files tab, you can also check the path of each individual texture, which you can check against your file system for missing files.
  • The issue is arising when I go to create a new map. When you reach the point where you have to select map background, that's when this is happening. A number of the backgrounds are missing, apparently. I have no way of checking where CC3 is looking for these, as the methods I've found for looking up file locations don't work on the backgrounds.
