Sort of urgent question in regards to symbols catalogs

I have everything installed at this point. All programs and all annuals. The problem I am having is now matter what map style I choose to start a new project with, the CC3 program defaults to the Dungeons of Schley symbol catalog. Why can't I just open a new file type and the program respond with the correct catalog loaded up? This is driving me nuts. Even if I manually load a symbol set, I cannot be sure it was the default set for the map I am trying to make.

I know we have discussed this before. I remember Ralf and Monsen posting solutions.

Since I tend to mix symbol sets, I just browse to them and use them.

Well that would be OK Jim, but how does one know which symbols were meant for a specific map type? I mean I can tell the difference between an annual and another for the most part, but what about the map types that came with CC3 or CC2 for that matter? How do I know I have chosen the correct set?

CC2 symbols don't look as refined as CC3 symbols.

I'll attach an example using overland symbols.
