Old School Map symbols
I'm just starting in with Campaign Cartographer 3 and am trying to find out if old school (such as those used in AD&D or the Known World) hex symbols are available. An example of the style I'm looking for can be found here: http://pandius.com/thrshlda.html. (or really, any similar symbols.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The symbols are much more detailed (and I think, nicer), but it remains really hex-oriented, and is quite easy & fast to use. I just attached a small example I've done in really less than 5 minutes with this style.
You can also turn theses Adobe brushes, etc. at in to CC3 symbols. One of the Annuals went into detail about doing this with brushes.

The underwater ones are at: since the link is messed up to them:

See also the creator of the Adobe file's website as he goes into extensive detail on the various fonts used in the D&D module maps and has a cartography section.

I think the Overland Hex issue of The Cartographer's Annual Vol 4 (2010) may be just what you're looking for. And the best part? It's a free download! You need CC3, of course, but this is like getting a free Mystara mapping add-on! Be sure to read the PDF mapping guide that comes with it!
Have fun!
