displace sheet effect - screwy

Hi, recent purchaser of CC3 and first post.

I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what i am doing wrong with the displace sheet feature? basically although i apply it to a single sheet (WALLS) for example, the whole map and not just entities on the wall sheet gets "displaced"

I've tried various combinations of the settings and various *.png as the displacing image but nothing seems to work - am I wrong in my understanding of what the displace effect does?

it shouldn't apply to all of the entities on the map, should it?

I've worked out the issue, although not totally sure why its an issue..

I was using the light effects also on the sheets - point light set up and point light finalise.

When i moved the "finalise" to the next (higher) sheet SYMBOLS WALLS rather than having it on the same sheet as the displace (WALLS) it seemed to fix the issue - was i doing something dumb?
