Resize / Rescale

Is it possible to simply type in the new dimensions for a scale or resize of an object?

Example: I draw a 15x30 rectangle and I decide I really need it to be 3x that size. I select move/resize/rotate. Instead of using my mouse and the ctrl key to scale the object to its new dimensions can I instead use a keyboard command? If so what is the command?

You can, but not with that command/button.

    Try this:
    1. Click the Scale button  image  instead, or type SCA in the command line.
    2. Select the entity or entities you want to scale.
    3. Choose Do It from the pop-up menu.
    4. Choose a scale origin. This is the point around which CC3 will scale the entities. You can left-click a location with the mouse, right-click or press Enter to use the default (usually the last origin used), or type in coordinates and then press Enter.
    5. Type the scale you want to resize by. Numbers greater than 1 are larger. Numbers smaller than 1 are, well, smaller. You can use decimal values, such as 1.5 or .33, if desired.
