Where is the road that is used in the tutorial file?

I recently got CC3 and was following the tutorial presented in the CC3 User Manual in the section, "Our First Map."

When I got the the roads section the instructions say to use the default road but that looks different than what they use. After pulling up the file found in ProFantasy\CC3\Tutorials\Essentials I noticed the road they use is a dashed line road. I tried the "Road, Minor" option which effectively created a dashed line road but it wasn't the same.

The road used in the tutorial file seems to dynamically change in size as you zoom in and out. It's really a great feature because the closer you get, the smaller the dashes, so no matter what zoom you are in, it always looks good and clear.

Does anyone know where this road might be or how to recreate as a custom road?

Type on the CC3 command line List

Select the road, right click and select Do It from the menu.

A popup will tell you info about the road you found in the Essentials folder.

If that is a pdf, Line style requestor has a list of several dashed lines along with Road, long dash.

I did as you told me, but I see nothing that verifies if it's a pdf or not.
  • I think I figured it out, under the drawing tool properties, there is a line style called "Dash" which seems to do what that road was doing in the tutorial. The "Road" style on the other hand seems to draw a standard dashed road.

It says "Line style 262 (Road)" on the list listing. A pdf is an Adobe Reader file. You weren't clear what 'Essentials' you were talking about.
