Symbols as part of a fill style

[p]So I'm making some relatively simple maps for use by players in a game. The maps will essentially look like variations on this:[/p]

[p]Now one of the problems I'm having is that when there are large sections of forest it takes forever to fill them in; even using a grid and snap designed to position each tree symbol in the middle of each square. What I was wondering was whether anyone could either help me in making a macro for a fill style so that it places a random tree in the middle of each square of the area that's filled in. Or failing that can point me towards the information I need in order to puzzle it out by myself.[/p]

But I guess you could use the "Fill with Symbols" command to achieve something like this, though you'd have to fiddle around with the settings. I've attached a sample I've tried here.
