I do not understand.....

Why does CC3 "Symbols Catalog Settings" button default to CC2 catalogs. I will never use these and not sure why it feels the need to default to them. can someone please instruct me on how to make the CC3 catalogs default? Oh and the "System Style Toggle" button does the same thing.... very frustrating.

Thank you in Advance!

Symbol style is set on a per map basis. Every map should contain a macro that loads the appropriate symbol style when that map is loaded. For maps in CC2 styles, the OnOpenMacro (found in the map notes), should containt he line SYMICONFLOAD CC3. This line causes CC3 to load up the master filter set named CC3. (You can manually load filter sets by right-clicking the symbol style toggle button, select Master Filter Settings, then hit the Load button and choose the desired set.).

If your maps macro is missing this line, insert it. You may also wish to check that the CC3 filter set is correct. If you manually load it from the Master Filter settings dialog, it should contain an entry on the first line with the value CC3, the first item should also be the selected one after loading. If this isn't correct, edit the filter list to make sure CC3 is the top entry, that it is selected, and then save the setting as CC3 to keep your changes for the future.
  • Thank you Monsen! I figured out that I was clicking the "System Style Toggle" button and that was changing the symbols on me... I misunderstood what that was used for. I think I got it now. I will just keep trudging on in hopes that I can grasp the program and it tools more each day!
