Two files have gone missing!
I spent hours creating two new map files in CC3. I finally finished the bulk of the work and was going to go on to details.
I started with a map file named (essentially) "mymap1" -- I got half the work done then saved as "mymap1bak" so that I would have a backup copy in case anything went wrong.
So I had two saved files for this mapset. Now they're gone. They're still in my recent files, both from the CC3 menu and Windows Vista menu, but it says it can't find the files.
When I look in the folder where it says they are/were, they're not there. Only my older map files are there.
They are not in the Recycle folder.
Two things happened last night that may relate. 1) I got rid of cookies from one of my browsers. 2) I turned my computer off from the switch because it had frozen.
But even if one file disappeared because of a glitch from turning the computer off without a proper restart, I'd think the other file would still be there. Really, since both files were saved, I'm surprised even turning the computer off could glitch it into nothingness.
Ideas?

Hope that helps,

Actually I guess this computer is Windows 7, and I can't locate an AppData or Local folder. I'm familiar with that setup in Vista, I think, but I can't replicate it here.
I also searched for *.FCW files and got nothing (which is silly since I have other maps that are showing up).

Now that I look back at Ralf's advice (linked above) I see that he said you might have to show hidden folders, but I wasn't sure how to do that, and Windows Help wasn't very helpful (search wasn't showing what I needed in Help).
So the solution was to use the procedure Dogtag links above to show hidden files, and then apply Ralf's recommendation:
Look for the following folder:
C:\User\YourUserName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files(x86)\Profantasy\CC3\
You might have to show hidden system folders from your folder options in Windows.
From what I can tell, this same procedure should work in both Vista and Win7.
Thanks again!
