Restromel Castle

This is a WIP on a castle loosely based on Restromel Castle, Which is a smallish shell keep. Still a long way to go, but how does it look so far?

For reference the outer walls are 10 feet think, the inner shell walls are 3 foot thick and the church on the top walls are 5 foot. The outside diameter is about 130'.

That looks awesome! A little "magentish," but awesome! Did you use the castle walls annual issue to make it?

Out of curiosity, why is the church outside the keep? Is there a curtain wall around the whole thing?

I hope you'll keep us apprised of your progress on this. I'm eager to see how it develops.

There was another ringwall around the central keep. Restormel Castle is actually one of the places in Source Maps: Castles, so I've mapped it too. Though that was before the nice castle walls annual issue, and my walls were not so detailed.

Church outside was original design however I am modifying it to not have access from the church to the castle.
I will have a moat or ditch no outer walls planned at this time.
I didn't know it was in the castle files ill have to look at those.
Yes CA46 and JdR chapel tutorial make this possible.

Made a little progress on this. Added some windows, fireplaces, some columns to the church and a bit of color from the magenta.
(The textures are just place holders and I've not put any effects on yet.)

Feedback or ideas would be great.

Interesting. I didn't see the inner area as a courtyard. Also, did you say you added columns to the church? I don't see any, except what might be round pillasters on the outside wall.
