[p]Some may remember that most of my maps all take place in the same world, one where I and others have been playing a forum based roleplaying/dynasty building game that is now entering it's 73rd turn (with a turn representing a year, roughly). The central conceit behind the game being that it started after a mass exodus from the Old Kingdom to the new, what is now known as New Truewater, as this allowed a level footing for players to get to grips with the world. Alas when the game started I was not yet terribly well versed with CC3 and as such another made the map, which is why New Truewater is a little... square for it's first two hundred miles or so up the coasts to north and west.[/p]
[p]Since it's start the game has expanded across the oceans and of course it has seen the exploration of the continental archipelago upon which New Truewater rests. It is, by and large, a rather diverse place. With the Naga City States to the west, a land of highly Communal Snake People with four arms and a terrifying proficiency with a bow. The Minotaur Tribes of the far North who in some respects are much as the ancient Celts, warriors and metalworkers of extreme skill, but without any truly large settlements. To the Salt Men Kingdoms, a divergent human subspecies specifically adapted to the cold, being both hairier and with a thick layer of subdermal fat that effectively insulates them against the cold and also happily acts like a layer of thickened leather armour. There is also the Empire of Avernon, wracked by civil war and rebellion and led by the Immortal Emperor, an elf of over 3,000 years who has lived so long that his brain has ceased to be able to process new memories, leaving him trapped within past memories, leaving the Empire he created to destroy itself at the hands of his human servants.[/p]
[p]As to the map itself I still have a few things to do. The first is to finish adding the names to all the towns and cities currently marked. After that I believe I will do something to brighten up the northern ocean as it's a bit bare at the moment.[p]
[p]Comments, suggestions and criticisms are, of course, very much welcome![/p]
