From what I have been able to determine so far: Low Passage berths are on the bottom deck. Astrogation is on the top deck. Sensors are forward. Engines are aft.

What other things should I know about the interior layout of Traveller space/star ships ?

Evidently, no such thing as a standard deck plan.

Not exactly symetrical. The versions are with different backgrounds.

I have two versions of the lower deck plan of a Gazelle Close Escort Vessel. Rather large, so they are on the linked web page.

Great design Jim, and the background is indeed a very nice addition.
How did you design the blue stormy parts? Boxes or polygons? In that case if you multipoly them the fill style won't be the same on both sides.
It's one of my latest discoveries, if you multipoly two entities parsecs away the fill style is applied globaly instead of showing the same part of the picture.

The blue stormy parts are bitmap fills from the HiSpace Annuals. 'Phentofioor 2 HSAlien'. Just a box polygon.
