SDK?

I'm posting this here seems I'm not certain if it's a product question or what..

I know CC2-Pro had a SDK so that 3rd parties etc could program their own add-ons etc beyond the normal tool sets for use with it.. Does one exist for CC3? and if so how can you get a hold of it?

The reason I ask is there are some things I'd like to try and add to my own copy of CC3 that well would be easier if I could just program an add-on module but with out and SDK or at least some information I might as well be walking blind. We know that it's been done before in cc2.. so *shrug* figure I might as well ask.

As far as I know, you need the XP Toolkit and the new CC3 files for it.

There is a Turorial available for setting up the XP toolkit, by L. Lee Saunders.
The new CC3 files is supposed to just be unzipped into the xpdev directory of the old toolkit, overwriting the existing files.

I haven't gotten as far as to do any CC3 development myself, but if you get into problems, you might get good help by asking over at the cc2-tool-l mailinglist (Yahoo group)

thanks for that Monsen, :-) just have VS2005 and getting tired of making character generators for 4th edition D&D (have a nice one pitty i can't share it damned WOTC and there new @#$@# rules) and want to have a play at adding some stuff into CC3..

Yep, playing 1e as well and could provide one/two links as well, if you'd be interested. In fact I recently transferred an adventuremap into dd3 to get a nice battlemap for my upcoming dnd session.
