Using the real World as a starting point in Fractal Terrains then adding fantasy elements
Ok here's what I want to achieve I've got about seven thousand pages of data about a fantasy/real world myth world including Gods monsters everything!
Now I really want to map out my world, I've decided given real world positioning works why mess about. I'll start with a real world map and then add places such as Lemuria Mu and Atlantis.
Then put all data into Campaign Cartographer and map individual continents.
Now my problem is when I have found guidance to put in real world data it is static within Fractal Terrains and I cannot manipulate it it expand certain areas of add new land masses.
please help

this is the kind of thing I want to create

But with the real world as a base, I'm found this but once it's applied none of the fractal terrains tools seem to work.

That's what I'm really looking for a fully interactive real world map that I can put into fractal terrains, that I can then stylize to suit.
Sorry new to profantasy/mapping software ( I own CC3 and Fractal Terrains), so hope this makes sense
I recommend increasing the editing resolution as much as you reasonably can before doing the burn by using Map>>World Settings, going to the Editing page and using a custom resolution of at least 4000. The 32-bit FT version imposes a fairly small working limit on resolution, so you probably won't be able to get much above 6000 before experiencing what we'll generously call "stability issues." Your world data will then be fixed in FT's working space and you'll be able to adjust parts however you like.
