The Great Sphinx ("Telar in Norbia" Dungeon #31)

Hey all...I think the more I need to work on my dissertation, the more I procrastinate and find cool stuff to map...

So, I found this really cool desert adventure in Dungeon Magazine. Hopefully, I'll get to map the whole adventure, but this map is for the lower part of a Giant Sphinx which sits in the middle of a recently unearthed abandoned city (Telar).

Excelent layout! Beautfull colours! Its really a very nice work. From where you got the "dirt" symbol in the corridor leading to the Southern Gate tower?

Thanks guys...I'm enjoying working in this Desert style (and glad no one has gotten sick of me using the same border/font/color scheme).

The "Dirt" symbol is actually "Rust Mold"...should be a fun encounter for them. I found it on the Dunjinni forum (but there are also some nice looking molds in the CSUAC).

You did all the layout in an one go or you made roons and them connected them? I still find a little hadr to connect rooms in a good looking way. All the times something goes to he wrong side

Because I was redoing an existing map, I did the entire room layout first. It was still a pain at times. In particular, attaching the circular staircase wall to the rest of the walls. Ultimately, the easiest way to do it is to just reduce all your walls to 0 thickness, zoom in, and make sure all your corners match up exactly. After that, I just copied that stuff to a floor layer and multipoly'd it.
