Legendary Teeth

Here's my first attempt at an outdoor battle map. I think it turned out great, and was quite easy! Notable terrain features include the dense forest in the bottom and left, the tents with people potentially hidden inside, and the active fire pits for pushing people into.

Comments? I'm pretty happy with it, I really just need to try it out on my projector to see if it's going to be the right dimensions to fit miniatures.

I also made a night version, which looks pretty cool. I don't suppose there is any way to do shadows properly in a situation like this? The only way I could think of would be to manually specify the shadow direction on each thing I wanted shadowed for each light source. It would be nice if I could just set a few light sources, and then do a shadow on a sheet and have it get the direction and such from one of those sources.

One of the annuals has a month dedicated to lighting effects your describing. You can set a light source(s) and all of the other objects will automatically get the kinds of shadows you would expect. *I bought that annual for that issue alone - its well worth it by itself (and there is some other good stuff in that year's annual also).

Very nice! I especially like the large brown tent. Where did you get the symbols for the tents?

Also, I think you did an admirable job showing the light sources in your night map. Very creative!
