Problems with political borders
Hi everyone, I just start making my first map using cc3. Everything great, I follow the tutorials and everything, but when I try to made the political border... well after 5 hours of hitting my head to the monitor I decided to ask here.
I follow the tutorial that can be found in this forum about it and I can not make it work.
I save my map without mountains and rivers and there I dont have problems, there I can do it. My problem are in my copies that have the mountains and the rivers, and of course I can only made there the borders cause is the only way to know where to put them.
I tried to move the sheet to the top, over the land, then to the bottom and nothing, I freeze then, unfreeze them, I even pray and nothing
every time that I try to make the countours I can make a little bit but when I get close to the rivers or the mountains I lost control and do what ever he want...

If you turn it off then that should stop your border automatically jumping to nearby rivers and things.

You'll need to wait for someone more knowledgable to help you, but it might be Monday before
the gurus turn up - the forum tends to be quiet at the weekends.
If you are making nation borders don't put them on the map border sheet or layer.
If you are making a map border, it has to go on the map border sheet and layer.
What line style are you using for the political borders ? And is snap off ? (button lower right of CC3)
Yes all the bottons at the lower right are off.
May I use another kind on line to make the borders? I try to use the common smooth path but even if it was easy to mark the borders, then I couldnt use effects over those lines. Im following the tutorial for political borders, but still I dont find how to succesfully mark the borders
