Sheets and thier manipulation

Is there a global setting to ONLY put what I am working on, onto a sheet that I assign it to? I have differing effects and textures that I want to assign to various contours and land shapes. So I do not want the tools, symbols or anything to assign themselves to a sheet by default.

  • Blather, I understand why you would want to do this. I've changed most of my drawtools to place the entity on the current sheet. It's easy to do but must be done for every tool that you want to change.

-Right click on the button for the tool that you want to change.
    -Click on the Advanced button
-In the list, select the specific tool that you want changed
    -Click on the Properties button
-Delete the text from the Sheet text box
    Click OK, then OK

That tool will now place its entity on the current Sheet as well as the current layer.
  • Thanks for the reply Shessar. Just out of curiosity, is there a more advanced users guide to CC3? One which touches on topics such as this? Or maybe a specific part of the site which talks about these deeper settings?

I highly recommend buying The Tome of Ultimate Mapping. The price is very, very reasonable and the amount of information in it is amazing. It covers everything you might want to know, plus some!
