Downsize Canvas size

I noticed that I made the canvas size to large. It's current 6 by 4. The problem is that the textures are scaled too small. If I increase scale size for the textures it becomes blurry. I am really satisfied with the mountain, river and city placement. Is there a way to downsize (scale it down) the canvas size by half with all of the symbols as well? I tried the 'scalexy' then 'a', then 'd', then try to cut it by half but it seems like I am on the right path. It asks me to scale center? Maybe if i do that properly I may be able to get what I want accomplished. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

For scale center, use the lower left corner of the map (origin (0,0)). This makes sure that you keep the origin in the expected/normal place. Also, before scaling, make sure nothing is on a frozen layer.
