Cutting a Portion of an Existing Map and Pasting it to a New Map

Hey guys:
So, I have a map I've made, and I want to concentrate on a single part of it and give it it's own map. Is there a way to cut a section of an existing map out and 'port it over to a new map document?
Thanks guys.

The basics of it is that you use clipboard copy to copy the relevant entities to the new map. Then use Split, Break and Trim to remove the parts that end up outside the new map border. Path to Ploy can then be used to turn the now broken entity back into a polygon (Which will also restore it's fill). You can also use the trace functionally of the drawing tools to simply create a new polygon that is a duplicate of the relevant parts of the old one. (See the CC3 manual for some details about tracing with a drawing tool)
Also, Fractalize helps you to generate a more detailed edge on the existing entities, especially the coastlines.
