Is there more documentation for CD3 and DD3 past Essentials?

As the title says, are the Essentials guides for CD3 and DD3 all that there is, or is there a full-blown manual as there is for CC3? I'm looking in the documentation folder, and that's all I see.

Log into your registration page on the Profantasy site, there is a CC3 manual in there.
  • The only official CC3 documentation is in the Essential guides and the big CC3 tome on the registration page JimP mentioned. If you want to get more out of DD3 (and CC3 and Cosmographer), I *highly* recommend checking out Joe Sweeney's video tutorials on his YouTube channel. For CD3, I *highly* recommend Gandwarf's PDF City Designer tutorials. Links to both are available here: http://www.profantasy.com/community/user_tutorials.asp

    Oooh. Thanks jaerdaph !
  • Hey guys!

JimP--I'm specifically asking about City Designer and Dungeon Designer. I read all of the documentation for Campaign Cartographer 3, and was hoping that there was an in-depth guide like that one.

Jaerdaph--Joe's videos are awesome. I'll have to check out Gandwarf's.

The same depth ? I don't know of any.

However, many of the things you need to know to manipulate sheets and layers, to make overland maps, workds for cities and dungeons to.

I just unzipped the CD3 tutorial pdf linked about, and there are 10 parts to it.

I think one of the best ways to learn this software is to make a number of towns, a number of cities, a number of dungeons.

I have some examples up on my Crestar wseb site. Some early ones don't look great, but I kept at it. I don't worry about how good the first few look, I was learnig how to map using these programs.

    edit:

I am quickly looked over the CD3 pdf tutorials.

I highly suggest you read them and try it out. The first 6 parts go over how to create a village from scratch. Then, taking that knowledge, make a city, with a village nearby in the last 4 parts.
