FT3 and mdr files

Hi!

I'm having problems loading mdr files into FT3. I was working through the Israh tutorial and in step "Fractal terrains part 2" you are loading the mdr file created by wilbur back in to FT, but all I get is a nice blue ocean.

As an experiment i generated a new world in FT3 (File->new, Synthetic World) and saved it as an mdr file (Special MDR File). Then loaded it back into FT3 (File->new, Binary File) and got the same result, a big blue sea.
If I understand this correctly, in FT3 I don't have to change anything in the dialog för binary data, only load the file name.

When loading the MDR file, make sure that the top value is greater than the bottom value (for whole worlds, they should be +90 for top and -90 for bottom). There seems to be a difference of opinion between FT and Wilbur regarding the exact meaning of top and bottom.
  • OK!

In top i have -90 and in bottom 90 (left -180, right 180) in the binary data dialog. I changed top and bottom and it worked.

    Thanks!
