inserting maps, crash after certain number

I came up with a 10x10 template that holds 100 180x234 mile surface maps.

I was able to insert 96 of the maps into the template. I insert one more, program asks if I want to close or look for a solution online and close.

It could be that I have fractalized too much on some of the maps I'm inserting.

Attached is the map with 96 inserted maps and 3 additional maps I've tried to insert.

I can always make the template 9 columns wide if necessary.

Are you adding fully-detailed maps to this vast overview map?

Usually, you'd insert the landmasses and major sites, then link each square to the detailed map.

I was thinking about making a copy of my save folder of all my surface maps, remove the symbols, and then try inserting. That might help.

removing both symbols and map border, the picture frame one, I can continue to insert maps.

If I take off just the picture frame map border.... and insert a map with symbols, into the 9.5 columns of a map with symbols... the map stays up. No crash.

Looks like I have solved this one.

The reason I'm doing this is to add an editable map to the FT3 southern hemisphere add-on I made.

My original Crestar was a small part of the southern hemisphere. All of these map making things will combine into one large planet with both south and north hemispheres.
