A New Freebie From Me To You...

Ok, My Friend JimP has a dilemma...He is designing a map of the constellations visible in the sky from the perspective of his Game Setting's primary world, his problem is that he was looking for blank sky map templates that he could import into CC3 to work on - but he could find no blank templates. I decided to help my friend out - and so - I made a plain black and white template for him and posted it on the forum.
Now - knowing that I have no life, and knowing that I love to make stuff - one thing lead to another and (Jim - this is something that you should like) I began the task of creating an entire package of templates. I created 17 different versions of the same template in four different grid colors and three different background textures. The zip file is 178 MB big, lol.
Jim - you might want to get these because I basically increased the dimensions of the original templates that I gave you to 4096 x 2195 pixels, and now there are 17 of them and not just two.
Ok - everybody gets these. I would have posted them here but like I said, the file is 178 MB, so here's the download addy:

It's a freebie for you all, only please if you use them then please tell me if they work ok in CC3, and what kind of problems you may encounter attempting to import them in.
They are all in .png format - and you can also use them in a regular non - specific image editor like Gimp or Photoshop to make constellation charts / sky maps with.
Hope you like them - and dont forget to read the enclosed .PDF Read Me file with the package.
Regards - Billybob.
P.S. I know that FileFactory can be less than stellar - so I'll try to find someplace better to put them - in the mean time - when you go to the filefactory page - scroll all the way down the page to where it says "Slow Download" (unless you have a Premium Membership - trust me I'm not pushing them) - and go from there.

I've been feeling generally yucky for about a week now too - probably season lag or I'm starting to feel my age, lol.
Another reminder - I am an expert with Fractal Terrains Pro (at least as far as color schemes go), but a complete noob at CC3, so if anybody has a problem using them in CC3 - give every detail possible, lol. I should have done star symbols and shipped those as well - but transparency on gradual tone fades like that is murder to get right.
Also - tell me if they are large enough to work with and if your happy with them - or if they need to be scaled up, and I will work on that for a later distribution.
Maybe either the Cosmographer symbols, or CC3 drawing tools will suffice (I hope - did not do a bench test). Ironically I'm thinking that CC3 will probably do a much better job with the lines defining the constellations then Paint did, Paint is crazy about pixelization, even on high rez images like these. That's one of the reasons that when I was making these - I used paint only for cutting and pasting and text - mostly - and did the rest in GIMP and a Cybia app (Image INC).
This is got me itching to do character sheets and other game add-on stuff, lol.

Again, I tried to get them uploaded over at Share CG - but apparently they are having problems over there.
I kinda wanted to embellish these templates a little more by adding additional artwork and junk to them - but I figured it's best to keep them as is because it lends them to be more easily modifieable / customizable by other users.
I have gigabytes of room left.
Ah, got it downloading now.
I will however ALSO perhaps be doing more truetype fonts that I will SOMEHOW be dispensing as freebies. These will be fonts that are useful for mapping - and a few will be interesting variations of the "Roachian Futhark" Rune fonts that I have already done - and I would also be doing my own take on Elvish runes. At least that's what I am toying with right now. These fonts - if and when they are done - will also be freebies ( as I have already stated - repeating myself involuntarily - senility is starting to kick in, lol) and I will let you know when, and if those are available.
I can't make Open Type fonts - but if somebody out there has an app that can translate / convert True Type fonts into Open Type fonts - I would be greatly appreciative if you could partner up with me on that effort - I would finish the fonts - and you would just open them up in your app - convert them - and output them and zing the Open Type versions back to me, no biggy.
There ya go.
Many thanks for sharing,
~Dogtag
My apologies.
