[ANSWERED] Sheet option not enabling on load

I am using the latest version of Campaign Cartographer 3. When I build my maps I am using sheets. I make sure to enable sheets in the options (Sheets and Effects --> Activate Sheet Effects). I save my work and close out of CC3. Later I start CC3 and open my maps. However, they no longer use sheets because the option I selected to enable them is no longer checked. This is a minor nuisance since I can just check the enable sheets option again and everything works, but is this a known issue? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Unless a sheet has something on it, it won't save.

The templates' sheets do have a small dot, I think it is under the map border, so a blank sheet does save.

Check what your setting is under Tools -> Options and "Effects on load" at the bottom of the settings.

Yeah, this is a feature, not a bug.

Sheet effects are usually disabled by default when you load a map - to save time because depending on the map, loading a full set of effects can take some time. You can change that on a per-map basis in the Display Speed settings ("Effects are on when loaded"), or globally - as Trenloe explains - in the Options.
  • Thanks for the info guys. I don't do many maps and the ones I do do are usually very small. I am using the tools --> options and "Effects on Load - Always" and it is giving me what I want now. Thanks for the tip. Thanks all.
