I just purchased this and after I installed it, CC3 just crashes out.

I downloaded and installed it in the overall CC3 folder.

I did not restart my machine after installation.

Are either of these two things possible causes of the fault?

Follow on: I have restarted the computer, and now CC3 crashes when I try to start a new file.

It starts the Wizard, but after a few moments, the crash occurs.

What operating system are you running?

If it's Windows 7 or Vista, did you install the Annual by right-clicking on "CA2007_Setup.exe" and selecting "Run As Administrator"?

Also, if you're running Windows 7 or Vista I find it best to start CC3 in the same way (Run As Administrator).

I'd also suggest that you fill out a tech support ticket with Profantasy directly. We're a group of users, and while we can troubleshoot a lot of stuff, you may have a specific technical problem that PF is in the best position to fix.

OK - I decided to reinstall everything and now it seems to work.

Computers.

Go figure.
