Icosahedral map's
I'm a new user to this software, and I've been puzzling out how to do a good Icosahedral map with a Hex Grid.
I've played around with the Traveler overland preset templates
I've played around with Fractal Terrains and exporting maps as an Icosahedral map,
Both of these come close to what I want but both seem to fall short in actually delivering.
I like the organic feel of the FT Exported map, but I'd like to be able to Details with CC3 to it, as well as a Hex Grid.
And the Traveler template would be workable if I could figure out how to tweak things a little bit. Specifically, how to get a good clean looking map without any landmasses appearing in the background area. (Example attached, I want the white area in the middle top, without the hexes, to hide or cover the drawn landmass). I think It should be something I could accomplish with the use of the variety of sheet and layer tools, but my inexperience is sort of hampering me a bit.
Any advice here would be extremely welcome and I look forward to sharing some of my projects with you guys in the future!

The SCREEN sheet contains white polygons that will cover up anything that appears in the empty areas, as long as it is drawn on a sheet that appears above SCREEN in the list.
