Some time back, there was a list or posting of a series of 'exports' to print out a map that was, grayscaled, and 'archaic' looking... Some sort of template. Or method.. and of course, the year, between working on maps, I've forgotten how to do that/lost the templates that let me do it... Anyone know what I'm speaking of and able to help me?

Ok - I don't recall the template that you are talking about - but here's good news. Once you finalize your map and save / export it as an image file - there are several apps and tuts that are free that you can use to do what I think that you are aiming for. Here are the links:

If you get "THE GIMP" image editor - you'll need the "PSPI.EXE" plugin to run the Xero Graphics 8bh effects filters. Put the PSPI plug in module in your Gimp plug in directory folder - and then put your Xero Graphics 8bf filters in a folder on your desk top. Open Gimp then - find the Photoship Filters xtns menu item - locate the folder that you have your 8bf filters in - and that's basically it.

For those folks that want to do fake documents for the "Cthulu" RPG games - the Xero Graphics plugins are excellent to use to age / antique images, and you can use the "B Works" app in conjunction with some old typewriter freeware fonts from Abstract Fonts, and the free Nick Curtis fonts from TypOasis to do some great circa 1900s, 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s fake documents. (Google or Yahoo TypOasis and Abstract Fonts, or consult one of my previous posts):

I have backups on disk - and I'm keeping them archived so that when this stuff goes "abandonware" or "Error 404" someday - I can still use them until some future edition of Windows OS irreversibly chokes on them.

Joe Sweeney has a series of video tutorials called Mapping Master Class: Sheets & Effects that shows how to use sheet effects to create black and white and blueprint style looks to any CC3 map. http://www.youtube.com/user/joesweeney88#g/c/DD34CEFC7E6EC887 He uses Cosmographer deckplans for examples but the techniques would apply to any map you create in CC3.

The sheet effect you want is RGB Matrix Process, and you want to select Effects that Apply to Whole Drawing rather than place it on an individual sheet or sheets. In the predefined pull down list you can select Sepia, which gives an aged look to the whole drawing.
