Symbol Conversion

I hope I used the right word. Is there a way to use an existing cc3 map and completely change the symbol catalog on it to a different style? For an example, Using CC3 and transfer it over to a Jonathan Roberts style? Is that even plausible without starting all over?

There is no direct conversion method, but it is possible to a certain degree, with some work.

You have to put the new symbol definitions into the old map first. This is most easily done by simply opening the "All" catalog and clicking on each symbol once. Don't place it on the map, just clicking it will add the definition to the drawing.

Then open the symbol manager choose, your first old symbol, click "Replace" and pick the best-matching symbol from the new style. This will replace all existing references of that symbol in the map. Once you're done, you might need to check and change the scale of the symbols. You can do that to a whole group of symbols with Symbols > Scale Symbols in Map.
