Merging or spliting maps

I was wondering if there was a way to join two maps together along and edge or to make a big map and then cut it into smaller pieces? I'm trying to create a map of my campaign world and it is difficult going from a 30,000 x 30,000 mile map down to a 20 x 20 mile part of the map.

Maps can be joined by copying the entities from one map to another. Use the ability to manually type in source/destination coordinates when copying to ensure that distances end up being correct in the final map.
For example, if you have two maps of 1000x800 each, create a new map of 2000x800, and then copy one map to the left half, and one map to the right.

For cutting a section out of a map, read the chapter named "Editing with drawing tools" starting on page 40 of the CC3 manual.

How do I do the thing where I line up two maps so that the edges of lands match and stuff?

I have large map to small, and one on joining maps edges to map edges.
