Wide Format Printers, Tiling and more

I'm thinking about getting a wide format printer;One of the cheaper ones that do 13 x19 printing and possibly will handle small rolls. From looking at the print menu of CC3 it appears that the program would be able to handle any size paper, but I just want to make sure of it. Will it handle paper sizes outside the normal sizes for tiling purposes? Has anyone ever used any wide format printers and if so any recommendations and/or how do the prints turn out?
