Does anyone know why the june 07 parchment templates have tools not working?

I was just trying to get a fresh clean install of CC3 DD3 and CD3 with all updates (3.24) to draw on the june 07 annual's parchment templates.

The hall tool and the door tool seem to work fine, but the floor and wall tools are completely non-functional. Meaning, if you want to create any floors or walls you have to use the polygon tools to do so.

I've tried the same functions with the normal dungeon template in dd3 mode and they work just fine. But if I go into any of these templates (Annual parchment Dungeon01-05.ftc) all the others, Annualparchment dungeon ragged and broken, all seem to work just fine.

The symptoms on the Annual parchment dungeon01-05.ftc is that the tools issue the command to start making a poly, and they clearly take points, but the tool lines do not appear on the screen EXCEPT in the upper right corner of the parchment bit map.

So there's clearly something in the template itself that is covering up the tools while in use.

I've read the documentation about how tools may not appear to be working, and followed the workaround listed in that even but it does not appear to fix anything.

    There is something wrong with those templates. They have a polygon on the MAP BORDER layer that shouldn't be there (Most drawing tools are set up to restrict themselves to the map border, when undesired entities exists here, this doesn't work properly.

    The fix is to delete undesired entities. Just hide all LAYERS but the MAP BORDER layer, then delete everything on this layer. Now show all the layers again, and the drawing tools work just fine.

    Also note that 3.24 is not a fully updated CC3. The latest version is 3.40 (From installing update 8)
