Help: Elevations in DD3 Question

On the home page for DD3 is a sample map, third down on the right, showing elevations done in a contour fashion using elevation lines. There's a plateau with elevation lines descending from it. I can't find that map in a gallery nor can I find the symbol to do that kind of contour.

Can anyone instruct me, point out the location, on how to do this? It's a style I like for many maps, but so far it's escaped me.

I fear those contours where drawn by hand, there's no tool available to do them directly. It's not hard though, you can do the following:

- Draw your plateau (e.g. with one of the "Terrain, Grass*" drawing tools.
- With the straight "Terrain, Dirt Brown*" tools draw long, quasi-rectangular strips of slope down the side of the plateau. Use the Endpoint modifier (F5) to attach them to each other and to the plateau.
- If you want to emphasize the sloped area, outline the slope polygons in black or dark brown.

I've attached a quick example based on the standard DD3 template.

There are also some macros and scripts that can help achieve some as well. But it is my experiece that while that help get you started, you will still need to "doctor" them up afterwards. Here are two that I use.
