CC3 Drawing Tools don't Work with 6 Merged Maps
Hi all,
So, I've created six maps (CC3/Fenlon Style) and want to combine them into one big map. Each small map is 200 X 160.
Now that they're all lined up, I want to repair a number of mis-matches to make a seemless whole.
For example:
I want to get rid of all the little Sea/Coastline polys and just have one big sea poly outlining the entire map. The problem is *the sea tool, or any tool* doesn't work from the Fenlon style pack. I can draw regular polys just fine, but when I try to use one of the automatic poly tools (Land, Sea, Swamp, etc.), nothing is drawn.
What could be causing this?
The map is included. Thanks for you help!

The drawing tool problem might be due to map border issues. As you might now, drawing tools snap to the map border, and does not draw outside of it. When you stitch together maps like that, you probably kept the map border on each, which confuses the tools. Try to hide all the layers, except for the MAP BORDER layer. Most probably, you'll see one rectangle for each map. Just delete all of these, then draw a new rectangle encompassing all of your map (this will be your new map border). Now show the layers again, and try the drawing tools.
If this isn't the issue, you will probably have to attach your .fcw file, and not a pdf. The pdf is great for showcasing your map, but it doesn't help much in troubleshooting non-visual issues unfortunately.
Monsen, I tried what you suggested and it did not work. Tried it multiple times, in fact.
I tried to upload the .fcw file. And got:
"Some problems were encountered
The file you attempted to upload (Pomitain - Wall.FCW) was empty.
You are not allowed to upload (Pomitain - Wall.FCW) the requested file type:"
Dag, what did I do wrong? Is it too big?
Best, and thanks
David
You can try to zip it up and upload the zip file, maybe you'll have better luck with that. If not, you can always send it to me by email (my address is in my profile), and I will see if I can figure it out.
