Escarpment help needed

Previously, I have made a map using the 1930's overland. This uses escarpment. However, instead of using the CA 84 Escarpment file, I just use the default Escarpment. This is because it has lines instead of triangles.
Now, I am trying to do the same again for a different map. However, the lines are not working. They either do not show or go through the entire line and show up on both sides. I opened an older map to check the settings. I even used those old settings on the old file and this is still the result.
Horizontal goes through and end point is not showing. It acts like it is adding lines, but nothing is there. I can select the thin triangle and that works correctly. Did some update break this or is there some setting that I have wrong?

There hasn't been an update to CC3+ for some time, so an update is an unlikely cause.
I'm not very familiar with the use of the tool, but check that the lines really aren't there - that those which vanish aren't just on a sheet below something else, or aren't just the same colour as the background.
The escarpment settings aren't stored in the map file. The current ESC settings are stored in the CC3+ configuration file. They can also be stored in external files via the Save and Load button on the Symbols Along dialog.
Can you post a picture of what you want and a picture what you're getting (possibly the Symbols Along dialog as well?) ? That way we can suggest settings that might be helpful.
My CC3+ default ESC catalog is @Symbols\Maps\Filled\escarpment.FSC if that helps any.
Here is the type of contour line I am trying to do again. I have done it previously, but not now.
I was getting those kinds of things to work, so it's most likely that something happened to your escarpment.FSC file. Here's mine as shown above, see if using it helps.
One of these years ESC needs a "use current drawing" checkbox for the catalog list, I think.
That file did not change anything. However, I just selected restore to default. Then I selected the endpoint and changed it to 45 degrees. That seems to work for now. So something got changed in how the program worked and restoring to default I think fixed it. I will make other setting changes and hopefully it will continue to work.
