Numbers Don't Appear on Dungeon Map

Hi!
I made my dungeon map, and no matter what I do, I cant insert any kinds of numbers to it. After I click the number tool, then I click the map, and then the cursor disappears immidietly. And nothing happens. Please can you help me?

Which tool are you referring to?
Can you show us a screen shot?
Double check your layers and sheets if you have 'text' hidden.
Also check your current font size, maybe the text is too small to see.
Heres picture from my map:
And yes sometimes, it shows up in the toolbar the word "text"
If you want to add number labels the easiest way is to add text labels using this button:
A dialog will appear, into which you type your number and hit enter. Then the number should appear on your crosshairs to position wherever you want.
While the number is still on your crosshairs you can alter the alignment by hitting keyboard keys as follows:
Horizontal alignment:
Vertical alignment:
If the number is too large or small, before you place it hold down the CTRL key and move the mouse until it is the right size. Set your size with the first number and stick with that size.
EDIT: Also do as Steven suggests and check that your TEXT sheet is near the bottom of the list of Sheets and Effects.
I putted the "Text" into the sheets and effects bottom.
But, clicking the text tool, it does the same thing. It doesn't help! The cursor disappears to nothing! The box appears and I can write to the box the number or any words, but the problem is the same.
Try clicking the Text Specs button next to it
. There's probably a very tiny number in the Height box. Put something sensible like 10 in there and try again.
Click on the Text Specs icon (next to the A icon that Sue posted) to confirm that your font size is large enough. Make it something super big just to confirm.
If I've understood your query correctly, you're left-clicking the Number Label
button and then immediately clicking the left-button again in your map.
What you need to do after clicking the
button is check the Command Line to make sure the number you want to use is correct there - if it isn't, just type in the correct one, and then either press Enter, or right-click your mouse. The number will then appear on a large cross-hair on your map, and you can place it where you want.
As others here have suggested already, you may need to adjust the size of your text so you can see the numeral, and make sure it's going on the correct Sheet as well once you've done this (or better, before doing so!).
The problem was solved Loopysue! And thanks for everyone too for helping!
